How to create a LinkedIn newsletter

Step 1: Make sure you are eligible

To create a LinkedIn newsletter, you need:

  • A LinkedIn business profile
  • At least 150 followers
  • Recent original content posted
  • No restrictions on your account

Step 2: Start a Newsletter

  1. Go to your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Click “Write article” at the top.
  3. In the publishing window, click “Create a newsletter.”

You’ll be prompted to enter:

  • Newsletter Title
  • Description
  • Posting Frequency (daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly)
  • Cover Image (which we highly recommend so your readers recognise your branding and it helps add credibility)
  • Click done

Step 3: Write Your First Edition

Now you’ll write your first issue, and it should be structured as listed below.

  • Strong headline
  • Engaging opening
  • Main body content
  • Call to action
  • Add any links where needed in your article and these can be added onto a particular word or just as a CTA at the end
  • Add any images or videos to highlight and add value to what you are talking about
